The trial by popular jury in the case of the alleged "homicide with eventual intent" of Diego Armando Maradona, where the nurse Gisella Dahiana Madrid is the main accused, is scheduled for the second half of the year, according to Mario Baudry, advisor and current partner of Verónica Ojeda. Baudry made these statements after a hearing in the Oral Criminal Court number seven of San Isidro, attended by Verónica Ojeda and Jana Maradona. The next hearing is scheduled for July 10, after the main debate.
On the other hand, it was confirmed that the ordinary trial against several healthcare professionals, including neurologist Leopoldo Luque, psychologist Agustina Cosachov, among others, will begin on March 11. Dalma and Giannina Maradona, Verónica Ojeda, Rocío Oliva, Matías Morla, Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia, Ana Estela and Rita Mabel Maradona, Gabriel Pellegrino, Mario, Nelson Castro, and Marcela Tauro, among others, will testify.
Mario Baudry expressed his opinion on the case, mentioning that, according to the evidence presented, nurse Gisella Dahiana Madrid should be charged at least with abandonment followed by death, as he believes she is guilty based on the videos observed. Baudry highlighted that the nurse's defense has not presented evidence so far, but with the available clues, he believes there is a chance for Madrid to avoid being convicted.
